The headlines say it all for us, describing the now famous temporary winter ice rink at Somerset House, London. Now in its 14th year and with over 1.25 million skaters it is the UK's most popular winter ice rink.

Somerset House was the first temporary rink in the country to realise the massive potential of the Mitra Grid system. It's unique design ensures that the quality of the ice surface is as good if not better than most indoor rinks and it surpasses the quality of all other outdoor rinks.

In 2013, Ice Tech UK will return to London to build and operate the famous rink on the Strand. In the last 13 years the rink has hosted over 8,500 public ice sessions and in this time only 1 session has succumb to the great British Weather - on that occasion strong winds prevented safe skating. This remarkable track record is evidence of the complete understanding we have of the high demands placed on outdoor ice rinks - a record that is unrivaled by any other rink builder in the United Kingdom.
