Creating realistic ice effects for film requires technical expertise, precision, and the right equipment.

Ice Tech UK has worked on major productions, including providing the special effects team at Warner Bros with everything needed to transform a lake from water to ice for a dramatic scene in Harry Potter III.

For this project, over 500kw of cooling equipment was used inside a film studio where the ambient temperature reached 46°C.

Despite the intense heat, we were able to form a flawless sheet of black ice, allowing filming to take place over three days during one of the hottest recorded summers in the UK.
