The development of Lee Valley Ice Centre delivered a modern twin-pad ice sports facility designed to provide outstanding ice quality, operational efficiency, and an excellent experience for athletes, clubs, and visitors. Throughout the project, Ice Tech UK acted as the specialist ice rink consultant, providing technical expertise and design support to help deliver a world-class venue and its specialist ice-making systems.
The project included a high-performance refrigeration system and twin ice floors designed to deliver reliable and consistent ice conditions for both recreational skating and professional ice sports. In addition, new Athletica barrier systems were installed to provide professional-standard player protection, improved durability, and excellent sightlines throughout the facility.
To support efficient rink operations, the project also included a modern snow pit system and a reverse osmosis water treatment system. Together, these systems help maintain exceptional ice quality while improving the overall performance of the refrigeration plant.
Finally, Ice Tech UK supplied skates and skate racks to support public skating sessions and enhance the visitor experience. Completed in 2023, Lee Valley Ice Centre is now a modern, sustainable, and future-ready venue that supports community participation, athlete development, and high-quality ice sports for years to come.
